Two Sisters' Dachshunds 

We are not a kennel or pet store. Our dogs are companions, friends, members of our family.

 

Our puppies are born and raised in our home alongside children and other pets. They have all the love and socialization that comes with an active, caring environment. We do not ship puppies, as we feel that a good match needs to be made in person. We do not knowingly sell our dogs to puppy mills, brokers, or pet stores. We want all of our babies to go to loving, forever homes.

 

We started with a single breeding pair and only recently acquired a second female and male. We did so not only because the kids wanted another dog (and had proven their responsibility in helping to care for the other two) but also because of the massive demand for our puppies; we have up to ten times the number of requests as puppies we produce, each litter. Because of this, we decided that we would still be able to find homes for all of them if we produced more than one litter per year. Having more than two allows us to do this without over-breeding our dogs. We still hold firm to the practice only producing puppies when we feel we will be able to find a place for each and every one of them.

Both our adults and pups are regularly checked by our vet and all are current on appropriate vaccinations. All our pups are registered with either the CKC or AKC, depending on the litter. Each and every one comes with a written guarantee of their genetic health as well as a puppy "starter kit." Please email us if you would like to see a copy of the agreement.
